This paper aimed to study the impact of buffalo meat import in Indonesia as a response of high price level of beef. The study was conducted by descriptive qualitative approach by using secondary data and literature reviews. Impact of the import was analyzed based on Loivestock Value Chain management approach to identify the impacted potencial chain. The study conluded that buffalo meat import will impact to the costumer segmentation especially to shift down the beef customers with lower income level. There will be a market opportunity to increase the demand of the buffalo meat as an alternative of meat provision. Buffalo will be potential to be developed in Indonesia.
